Join Larry Mac (who the Phoenix New Times calls a "Valley Alternative Rock Legend ") every sunday morning for an hour of new music. Larry sifts through the tons of new music MP3's, CD's and Myspace sites he finds and who find him, and plays you the best new Alt-Rock out there. From obsure indie bands, industrial and straight ahead rock groups. You never know, you migh tjust discover your favorite new Artist. My Bio...
Larry Mac has been a Phoenix Rock Radio fixture for over twenty years. Starting out at ASU's College Radio station in 1984, Larry soon went on to work at The Storm (TheValleys first Alt rock station), and soon moved over to the classic rock and hard rock stations, and of course the Legenday KUKQ. Larry has hosted Award wiining Heavy Metal and Alternative Specialty shows sine the late 80's, and was also the host of one of the longest running local music shows in Phoenix Radio. Mac was also the original host and creator of Skapunk before handing the reigns over to Craven. Larry has also worked as resident DJ at the Top Alternative Rock Nightclubs in Phoenix History including The Devil House, The Works, Andersons Fifth Estate and Club Rio among others. He might have even deejayed your wedding for a fee. He helped the Bloodhound Gang get signed and even worked with Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. He has interviewed alt rock legends like Bradley of Sublime, Art from Everclear, Chris from Nirvana, Big Audio Dynamiteamong other greats to newer bands like VHS or Beta, Angels & Airwaves, Fallout Boy, and the Arctic Monkeys. Larry has one of the largest music collections in Arizona, andf it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Remember that guy in High School that would make you listen to that brand new band you never heard of.... well Larry Mac is that guy.. but with a mic and a radio station...
